At their adoptions we made a promise to one day bring the girls back to the land of their birth. To China. Last year it was their sister Isabel's turn and now it is Grace & Beth's. We will be volunteering at a Foster Home and will try to be of service as we explore their homeland. We are excited beyond belief and truly thankful for the second chance God has given us to show our girls where they began. And for all of His blessings on our behalf.
In 1994 we began the process of adopting a beautiful baby girl from China. We were both pushing 50 and hadn't a moment to lose. It was such a joy we went straight to #2 and because we were so in love we continued to #3. Age & money were the only things to stop us. Now we are the very proud Mom & Dad to 3 amazing and wonderful dear, dear young ladies. Life is a sweet adventure and we are enjoying it all!!!
March '08...part 1
We are volunteering at a special needs foster home called Starfish in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, China, an hour by plane south west of the capital of Beijing......and will return next year (2009) with #2 and #3 daughters!!!!!! We are so grateful and feel blessed to have had this opportunity not once, but twice. And we continue on this amazing journey........thanks be to God.
Her sponsor wanted pictures.............so here they are and enjoy Fi. This tiny tot is 18 months old but is so small she looks like a six month old and it is bizarre to see her walking along like no bodies business. So cute!
Thank you, thank you!! Isn't she a sweetheart? When we saw her in June she was fast asleep, but I had such a flood of emotion go over me. I'd so love to jump on a plane and come visit her now. We are coming in May 2010, but of course I hope she is somebody's beloved daughter by then. Australia is poised to get a special needs list, so at times I dream her file will come here.....
